We're looking forward to the new school year. See below some important updates in relation to the year ahead.
We received a letter today from the DES confirming that when schools re-open in August/September, it will be on the basis of the same COVID-19 control measures being in place. In other words, the same arrangements and practices in school to prevent the spread of COVID-19 that were in place up to the end of the school year just finished, will continue to be in place at the beginning of the new school year.
Students will return to school on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 25th August 2021
- Cinnirí only (all day)
- Thursday 26th August 2021
- 5th Year book rental collection
- Friday 27th August
- 3rd/TY/6th Year (10.45-13.15)
- Monday 30th August
- 2nd Year (08.35-10.30)
- 5th Year (11.00-13.00)
- 1st Year (14.00-15.30)
- Tuesday 31st August
- 1st Year only (08.35-10.30)
- Timetabled classes for all students (10.45-15.30)
We will be in touch with you again in August to confirm these dates and times.

Book & Equipment lists for 2021-2022 are now available on the school website.
For incoming 1st and 5th Year students – please do not purchase books or materials for options subjects until these have been confirmed to you. We will communicate assigned options subjects to 1st and 5th year students later in the summer.
Please note that the school’s Board of Management has recently ratified an updated School Uniform Policy.
While the uniform itself remains largely unchanged, in addition to the updated PE t-shirt from last year, the new uniform policy replaces the PE hoodie with a half-zip style top.
Students in 2nd, 3rd and 6th Year are not required to purchase a new PE top. We anticipate the existing hoodies will be phased out over a number of years.
However, we do advise that students in 1st, TY and 5th year who may be purchasing new items of uniform should purchase the updated PE top and not a hoodie.
Student Direct Costs 2021-2022
Our thanks to those who have already paid the initial instalment or the full amount of student direct costs for 2021-2022 via Way2Pay. A reminder that the scheduled dates for payments of the remaining instalments is as follows:
- 2nd Instalment – 24th June 2021
- 3rd Instalment – 21st July 2021
