As part of the Fifth Year Geography course, we are taking students on an urban field study of Dublin city centre. Students will be observing the urban renewal and redevelopment of areas within the city centre. Starting at the Three Arena they will embark on a walking tour of the redevelopment of the Dublin Docklands and the IFSC. They will be shown how Dublin has become an ethnic diverse city by incorporating Parnell Street, Moore Street Arcade and the Italian Quarter into the tour. They will also be shown different types of land uses from commercial to residential. They will finish up their tour at Smithfield where they will get the LUAS to the Red Cow where we will meet the bus go back to school.
The trip is planned for Wednesday 29th March 2023. Buses will depart Ratoath College at 08.50 sharp on Wednesday 29th March 2023. Students will not return to the school until approximately 15.30. Students need to bring a packed lunch/money for lunch and €2 for the Luas on the day. Students are required to wear their full PE uniform.
As with all school trips, normal school rules will apply.
