Following completion of Junior Cycle and/or Transition Year, students enter Senior Cycle and follow a two year course leaving to the completion of either The established Leaving Certificate or Leaving Cert Applied.
For those who choose the established Leaving Cert, in general, most students will study seven subjects on which they are examined in June of 6th Year.
Alongside these seven subjects, all students follow prescribed courses of study in Physical Education (PE), Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE), Career Guidance and Religion. Students also have 1 tutorial period per week.
At Ratoath College, all students study the following three core subjects for the Leaving Cert exam:
Business & Finance
Humanities & Social Sciences
