Entrance Assessments
Entrance Assessment Information
In preparation for new First Year students joining the school, all students will take part in an Entrance Assessment.
This assessment is done on computer here in the school. It is very straightforward. All questions are answered by simply clicking a mouse (no typing skills needed). Please note that students cannot prepare for this test.
Students are required to bring the following with them on the day of the assessment:
- A set of earphones that are compatible with a computer, NOT wireless earphones.
- A drink and a snack as there will be a short break.
The assessment lasts approximately 3 hours.
Enrance Assessments for First Year 2026-2027
Entrance Assessments for students joining First Year in 2026 will take place on Saturday 7th March 2026 here in the school. Each student has been allocated an individual appointment time and this has been communicated to parents by email.
Please note the following important information:
- Please ensure your child arrives on time for their allocated time slot.
- When they arrive at the main entrance to the school building, our staff will direct your child to where they need to go.
- Parents are requested not to accompany their children into the school building. Staff will be on hand to greet students and direct them.
- If you are picking your child up after the assessment, note the finishing time in the appointment email you have received.
- Please note that access to the school for cars is via the entrance on the Ratoath Outer Relief Road only. Children who are walking or cycling to the school on the day of the assessment will also be able to use the pedestrian entrance on The Avenue in Mill Tree Park.
- If your child is currently in receipt of SNA support, please let us know if you think they will need support on the day of the assessment so that we can put the appropriate arrangements in place. You can do this by contacting Ms. Tara English, our SEN coordinator, via email: [email protected]
