3rd Level Course:

BA (HONS) Psychology, (M.Sc.) Applied Behaviour Analysis
Why did you choose this course? I have always enjoyed working with people, and knew that I wanted to study some sort of social science. After completing my undergraduate in psychology, and then working in an ABA preschool for a year I decided that a masters in applied behavioural analysis would be the next step for me. Working with children with autism is extremely fulfilling, ad everyday has new challenges.
How long is/was the course?  Psychology undergraduate: 3 Years, Masters: 2 years
Current role / employment:  Full time applied behavioural analysis tutor, part time master’s student
Have you any advice for our current students?  My advice would be to not shy away from choosing a carer because of the length of time associated with studying for it. If you love what you do it makes things ten times easier, and there is no set time frame during which you should be finished with study. Everyone does things at their own pace!
Best memory of Ratoath College:  I loved my time as head girl, getting to meet new people and helping out with the first years. It really reaffirmed with me that I wanted a career working with young people.
