Why did you choose this course?
I chose the B.Sc in Multimedia because this course offered a wide range of career paths to go down. Eventually I found that this course offered me the chance to make media projects for others to enjoy while also engraining myself in the digital age.
Following on from the three years studying for my B.Sc, I decided to pursue my M.Sc in Multimedia. This course as well as offering practical education in various mediums such as photography, video and audio production; also offered a chance to understand the history, psychology of your audience and culture behind media.
How long is/was the course?
B.Sc Multimedia – 3 years. M.Sc Multimedia – 1 calendar year.
Current role / employment:
Internal Communications Executive at Ryanair.
Best career achievement to date:
Taking photos and video in five countries and counting for work.
Have you any advice for our current students?
Get prepared for some very exciting times, life quickly picks up pace and offers you opportunities that you can’t imagine. It helps to take a moment to yourself and look back at where you came from and where you are now; you’ll be surprised at how far you’ve come.
Best memory of Ratoath College:
By far it is still having tea with my Classical Studies class in one of our final classes with Mr.McAuley. I still laugh at how he made it seem like a secret mission to try and get some milk!
