Tá áthas orainn a insint daoibh go bhfuil scoláireachtaí Gaeltachta faighte againn sa chólaiste i mbliana. Beidh timpeall €350 le bronnadh ar thart ar deichniúr dalta ó LMETB. Beidh na daltaí sin ag freastal ar choláiste Gaeltachta an samhradh seo chugainn (2024). Tá sé riachtanach go bhfuil an coláiste atá roghnaithe ar an liosta coláistí atá soláthartha ag LMETB, ní féidir aon choláiste nach bhfuil ar an liosta solártha a íoc. Tá an liosta thíos, mar eolas.
Is deis iontach í seo do dhalta feabhas a chur ar a chuid/ cuid Gaeilge labhartha agus scríofa. Molaimid go nglacfaidh gach dalta páirt sa chomórtas seo.
Beidh foirm iarratais le líonadh ag gach dalta chomh maith le haiste ghearr a scríobh ar ábhar faoi leith. Ina theannta sin tá moltaí faoi chúrsaí ar fáil sa scoil má tá spéis ag do mhac/ iníon freastal ar chúrsa Gaeltachta i mbliana.
Tá na foirmeacha iarratais ar fáil anois thíos nó ó na múinteoirí Gaeilge agus an spriocdháta atá ann dóibh a bheith ar ais leis an múinteoir Gaeilge ná Dé Luain 18ú Márta . Tá se riachtanach go bhfuil síniú tuismitheora/caomhnóra ar an bhfoirm freisin. Má tá tuilleadh eolais uait is féidir dul i dteagmháil le Foireann na Gaeilge sa scoil.
Le meas,
Foireann na Gaeilge
We are delighted to inform you that we have been awarded ten part-scholarships for Gaeltacht courses by LMETB this year. Each scholarship has a value of approximately €350 and an anticipated ten students will be chosen from any of the Irish classes in the school. The winning students will attend a course in an Irish college on the list of LMETB procured colleges this summer (2024). This scholarship will only be paid to colleges on the procured list. Please find the list below.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to improve their spoken and written Irish. We the Irish team, urge all students to participate in the application process.
Students will be required to fill in an application form and complete a short essay on a given topic. We feel that it is important to note that this is not an academic competition and that any interested student should enter. If you are interested in sending your son or daughter to the Gaeltacht this summer, the Irish team will have recommendations for procured colleges.
The application forms are now available here or from all Irish teachers in the school and the deadline for submission to their teacher is Monday 18th March. Please ensure that the form is signed by a parent or guardian. If you require any extra information, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Irish team in school.
Le meas,
Foireann na Gaeilge
