TY Gaeilge Causey Farm Trip

Dear parent(s)/guardian(s),

We hope this letter finds you safe and well. We are writing to notify you that students will attend a one-day trip on Thursday March 7th, 2024. Students will be travelling to Causey Farm where they will be participating in a number of activities such as making traditional soda bread, ceili dancing, bog jumping, as well as having an opportunity to gain an insight into the workings of a farm and farm animals.

Students must have a signed permission slip in their Dialann (page 195) giving consent for them to attend. This must be shown to their Gaeilge teacher or Caomhnoir by Wednesday March 6th.

On the day, students can attend school wearing very old clothes and runners which they will need to wear for bog jumping! They must bring a packed lunch, a towel, and their full school PE uniform as a change of clothes.

Students will leave at 08.50 after assembly and return to school by 15.30.

Yours Sincerely,

Aisling Savage, Programme Co-ordinator, Sarah O’Neill, TY Moltoir, John McCarthy, Deputy Principal
