TY Trip Bay Sports Athlone

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope this letter finds you safe and well. We are writing to notify you that TY students will attend a one-day trip on Thursday May 9th, 2024. Students will be travelling to Bay Sports in Athlone where they will be participating in a range of water-based activities and availing of the “biggest collection of original, one off, award winning floating slides and challenges suitable for students of all ages and abilities”.

Students have been advised to bring the following items.

– Swimsuit

– Towel

– Old Runners

– Socks for Waterpark (extra socks just in case they lose them in the water)

– One bag big enough to carry everything

-Packed lunch and water

There is also a tuck shop available on site should students wish to purchase additional snacks.

Students must have a signed permission slip in their Dialann (page 195) giving consent for them to attend. This must be shown to the relevant caomhnoir by Friday May 3rd. Any students on negative points by Monday 6th May will not be attending Bay Sports. Students will attend school and report to Mr. Mc Carthy at 8:40am on the day of the trip.

On the day, students must attend in full school PE uniform.

Due to the size of the year group, Bay Sports have requested that we arrive at two separate times. Please see information regarding travel times below. All students must be in school at the usual time of 08.20 with assembly beginning at 08.40. Students must travel with their caomhnoir class.

Rangs O’Reilly, McKeon and EConlon will depart at 08.50 and return to school at an estimated time of 15.15.

Rangs Mitchell, Dalton and JConlon will depart at 09.40 and return to school at an estimated time of 15.45.

Yours sincerely,
