Dear Parent/Guardian,
We hope this letter finds you safe and well. We are writing to notify you that all TY students will attend a mock interview here in school on Tuesday April 23rd, 2024. Mock interviews allow students to evaluate their current skill level and identify their weaknesses. By simulating an interview environment, they can test out their conversational abilities and understand how well they perform under pressure. We feel this will be a very valuable experience for our TY students.
To prepare for this, all TY students had to email a CV to their Career Guidance teacher, Ms. Canty or Ms. Brooks. The deadline for this is tomorrow Friday April 12th. Students should present in formal dress but should not feel under pressure to purchase clothes specifically for the interview. Students are permitted to attend interview in full school uniform should they wish to do so. Students have been prepared for the interview in Guidance class where they have looked at how to write a CV, possible interview questions, responses and appropriate dress for an interview. Students will be allocated a time and location and should arrive for interview 10 minutes before their scheduled time. Students do not have any other classes on the day. The interview panel will consist of a member of staff and external personnel, and we look forward to a successful day of mock interviews.
Please sign a permission slip in the dialann (page 195) indicating that you have read this letter and give consent for your son/daughter to attend the mock interview.
